This role can be based out of San Diego, San Jose or Portland, OR.

Missions & Responsibilities (description of the overall role finality and definition of related tasks and expectation - includes but not restricted).

  • The Account Manager is responsible for managing, nurturing and developing relationships with strategically important large customer accounts, including targeting new opportunities for value sell and value discovery.  
  • There is a strong emphasis on building executive relationships that link complex customer needs to company Solutions. 
  • Ensure collaboration with technical teams to differentiate the company over competition. 
  • Responsible for the achievement of budgeted sales quotas to designated named customer accounts.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to identify and win licenses and services business with the goal of profitable growth and sustainability of the company and in alignment with the Group strategic objectives.
  • Sell value and strategic vision by promoting industry fundamentals and/or brand disciplines to get customer commitments on a long-term business transformation.
  • Develop and maintain a 3-year sales plan per selected key industries and customers in accordance with the company guidelines and processes in qualifying prospects and opportunities.
  • Protect existing revenue streams, identify new opportunities and markets and executive competitive “win-back” strategies.
  • Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects to penetrate new and existing markets and customers.
  • Establish and maintain thorough understanding of the customers’ markets, their important customers, and their main competitors.
  • By establishing effective internal and external working relationships, ensure the effective delivery of solutions, services, and training's.
  • Identify customer issues and ensure appropriate and timely problem resolution.
  • Use the CRM tool to track sales opportunities and accurately forecast sales revenue.
  • Prepare and deliver sales, marketing and technical presentation materials for customers and strategic partners within the guidelines set by the company.
  • Prepare software quotations and consulting services cost proposals for submission to customers in accordance to company standard guidelines on pricing and product specifications.
  • Remain current on all company offerings to adequately represent viable solutions in alignment with customers’ needs and business metrics. 
  • Advise the marketing and technical staff about all opportunities for alternative or new technology solutions and services that can help achieve the company's business growth goals.?

Main Interactions:

  • Identification of internal and/or external customers and suppliers with whom the role will mainly interface (includes but not restricted).
  • Internal:  Managing Director, COO/General Manager, Sales Director, Technical Director.
  • External:  Customers, specifically VP and C-levels.

Experience Required:

  • 7 years’ experience in managing large, complex accounts.
  • Highly motived self-starter that consistently exceeds quotas.
  • Strong business acumen and experience developing compelling value propositions.
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain and leverage executive relationships.
  • Strong teaming, communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven track record of successful enterprise software (PLM, PLL, ERM, CRM, SCM).
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of industry markets a plus (Aerospace & Defense, Electronics & Consumers, Energy & Power, Ground Transportation, Heavy Industry & Machine, Marine).

Experience Level:

  • Junior 8 years.

Technical Skills Level Required:

  • Sales skills in software and engineering services business - Mentor.
