Our client in Brooklyn, Ohio is seeking a Consumer / Commercial Loans Payment Processor.

Description:

Under direct supervision, the Specialist is primarily focused on execution of basic processing work following defined procedures. The Specialist is also responsible for routine operational and/or administrative work and escalates any issues. Working within a team of Loan Payment processing associates, this position is responsible for reviewing and processing consumer and commercial loan payments as well as processing recovery payments received on loan and charged off loan accounts originated by the client's Community Bank. Also responsible for processing initial fundings on consumer loans and lines of credit. Position is expected to adhere to Corporate Credit Policy procedures, loan regulatory requirements and Consumer/Privacy laws. Works within and complies with established operational and compliance quality standards and service levels at a highly productive level.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Process accurate and timely loan payments and payoffs on accounts housed on the ALS, CLS loan systems.
  • Process accurate and timely recovery payments housed on the CAS and AFS recovery systems.
  • Process new loan fundings with strict adherence to proper procedures and segregation of duties.
  • Balance general ledger entries to minimize account outages and work with the Accounting department to correct discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Perform careful and timely review of various reports to alleviate potential customer impact issues and to ensure system integrity.
  • Take appropriate action to address issues.
  • Research requests to a logical conclusion and execute remedial action. Communicate to the requester the results of research and resolution of the problem effectively and timely.
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve process efficiency, quality and the client experience. Communicate ideas appropriately to effect real change.
  • Provide world class customer service to internal and external customers through total adherence to the the clients Values and Difference concepts
  • Identify major and minor issues/problems and communicate to appropriate management
  • Assist other team members with daily workload to ensure timely completion and achievement of work team assignments.
  • Actively pursue development of self to better support team and future advancement.
  • This role covers a combination of staff within the areas of credit cards, retail banking, small business banking, consumer lending, mortgage banking, collections, recovery, origination, or auto finance and cover a broad range of responsibilities and duties
  • Administers defined procedures, analyses, tasks and report preparation while receiving explicit instructions for filing, recording, processing, servicing, recording, and/or organization of documentation associated with a product or process
  • May assist in reviewing or ensuring proper documentation or procedures are used for basic activities
  • Performs basic routine tasks assigned by manager. May provide service in relation routine billing inquiries, service requests, suggestions and complaints from customers
  • Completes work by following clear defined procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
