eCommerce Tech Lead. Our Columbus, Ohio client has a high priority contract need for an eCommerce Tech Lead who will coordinate with process teams and current application teams to support their development of functional applications and active participation in fit-gap analysis. He or she will lead design discussions for all RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancement and Forms) objects for customer-facing ordering and Inventory Management systems.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Participate and support the process teams, current state teams and EA teams during option analysis
  • Provide very strong Java expertise to ensure development standards are followed
  • Review and consult on technical design and specifications for all developments, taking into consideration of performance requirements, impact to existing solutions, and long-term sustainability and scalability
  • Support functional, integration and volume testing efforts (fix defects)
  • Support cutover planning and execution efforts
  • Coordinate with legacy systems owner for current state (legacy) development and integrations
  • Coordinate with EI (Enterprise Integration) and Master Data teams in design and development of interfaces and conversions
  • Coordinate and work very closely with other technology/application leads in design and development of systems integration and data flow
  • Coordinate and work closely with infrastructure team in system/network designs and builds
  • Manage and coordinate with SI (Solution Implementer) in various app dev deliverables
  • Provide leadership, partnership and team management
    • Participate in routine process tower meetings
    • Participate in routine application development team meetings with work stream leads
    • Ensure quick decision-making for issues in respective work streams


  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces
  • General understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to OS, databases, app servers, web servers and integration technologies
  • Conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and OS
  • Problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents
