Our client in Windsor, Connecticut is seeking a MDM Developer.

Our client is embarking on the Enterprise Data Management journey that includes building strong master data management, data catalog, data governance, data quality, data modeling, metadata management, data semantics and ontology practices. We are building a comprehensive Data Management Platform that will support these practices.


  • Working with MDM Architect, analyze master data and implement Match/Merge/Trust rules for a full life cycle of an MDM project including:
      • Data Cleansing & Standardization Process
      • Data Integration
      • Data Enrichment
      • Matching & Merging
      • Hierarchy Management
      • Workflow for data exception and DG
      • Data Stewardship
      • Custom UI for Analyst/users 
Skills, Knowledge and Experiences:
  • Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of overall Enterprise IT experience, Enterprise Data Architecture vision and an understanding of a Data Governance framework.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing all aspects of MDM solutions using industry leading tools such as Reltio, IBI OmniGen, TIBCO EBX or Orchestra Networks as well as more traditional solutions like Informatica MDM or IBM Infosphere.
  • Experience must include defining standardization rules, match and merge rules, configuring thresholds, configuring events and integration of data to and from the MDM solution
  • Full understanding of various MDM domains like Party, Product, Arrangements and their data models
  • Experience with data profiling to understand rules for match-merge, Data Quality and hierarchy management
  • Knowledge of REST API, Web Services, XML, SOAP, integration middleware such as MuleSoft
  • Acts as subject matter expert across multiple applications, systems and technologies leveraging technical and business knowledge to drive the planning and execution of complex initiatives.
  • Responsibilities include performing complex analysis, design, configuration and programming functions for impactful and visible projects.
  • Leads investigation and resolution efforts for critical, high impact problems, defects, and incidents.
  • Applies knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned projects.
  • Strong understanding of data management concepts (data modeling, data governance, data quality, data lineage, data ontologies)
  • Strong in gaining knowledge of new technologies across data management disciplines and conduct proof of concepts of well-established and innovative enterprise software tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, accountability, written and verbal communication skills, time management are key competencies to this position.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and ability to communicate Data Governance concepts to technical and non-technical staff, to work independently with minimal supervision including the organization and prioritization of tasks to meet deadlines and department goals.
  • Background in finance (ideally in insurance or retirement services) and facilitation skills to be an effective as a consultant to various projects.
  • Data Modeling / Cataloguing / Wrangling tools: Experience with tools such as ER/Studio, Waterline Data, Collibra, Erwin, Hadoop, Trifacta, Paxata, Tableau, etc.
  • Ability to work on multiple major projects simultaneously and learn new tools.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Metadata Management software.
