Senior Compensation Analyst.  A Senior Compensation Analyst is needed for a direct hire position with our Columbus, Ohio client.  This person will support and maintain the America’s salary and bonus compensation programs to include the administration, design, implementation, and preservation of competitive, cost effective, and legally compliant compensation practices. Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that compensation structure remains externally competitive while retaining internal equity and alignment with company objectives/policies.
  • Assist VP of Human Resources with Executive merit planning process
  • Create incentive plan documents, memos and other compensation-related documents on behalf of VP of Human Resource
  • Work with Finance to manage all bonus plan programs and ensure that payouts are correct
  • Prepare salary market data reports for management review.
  • Complete and conduct periodic salary surveys to ensure competitiveness
  • Prepare annual salary proposal for submission; guide and assist Plant HR Managers with preparation of wage proposal for submission 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with FLSA, Equal Pay Act, ADA, EEO and other applicable state and federal laws 
  • Work closely with Staffing Department to ensure fairness and equity in new hire salaries
  • Drive annual salary merit planning process and implementation
  • Write/review, modify & maintain all salaried job descriptions
  • Observe and evaluate salaried jobs 
  • ]Compile compensation data for reporting and making recommendations
  • Inform and educate executives, managers and associates on compensation structure and related policies/procedures
  • Recommend salary actions for new hires, promotions, merits, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources 
  • 5-8 years experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs.  
  • Excellent analytical skills, math/statistical aptitude
  • knowledge of compensation structures, job grading and job slotting, HR policy, employment law and reporting requirements
  • Ability to interpret salary survey and salary reports
  • Project management/organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to persons at all levels of the company
  • Ability to make compensation recommendations to managers, executives and Staffing Department
  • Advanced Excel skills; Proficient with Internet research and in other MS Office programs 
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Oracle HR Suite or other HRMS preferred.
