Our client in Batesville, Indiana is seeking a Call Center Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

This inclusive position will support both the Call Center and InForce teams in the Pre-need Operations area.  Servicing customers via phone processes, completing service work and paying claims are the fundamental processes this position will support.  Other tasks may be assigned and the work associated with this position has the potential to change daily, even hourly, as needs arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately answer customer inquiries and efficiently perform follow up as needed
  • Process basic customer requests such as name and address changes and basic policy changes
  • Document and track telephone conversations, action items, and written correspondence, while setting specific follow up activities
  • Perform quality audits and report learning opportunities
  • Place outbound phone calls on claims, policy owner service, and call center follow up
  • Process general claim payments according to standard

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and vendors
  • Ability to write professional business correspondence and emails
  • Strong data entry and attention to detail skills 
  • Self-starter with the ability to meet goals, objectives and manage expectations
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Windows and Microsoft
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize activities and responsibilities
  • Quickly adapt to changing roles and responsibilities
  • Effectively and openly communicates with management
  • Organized with a strict attention to detail

Additional Requirements:

  • Call center/Customer Service experience preferred
  • Good computer skills, Microsoft Suite
  • Flexible with work tasks (going from the phones to data entry without prior notice)
  • Approx. weekly work split = 40% phones/60% data entry
  • Dependable, punctual, good attendance record
