The Data Solution Architect Consultant will play a key delivery role for the client's Financial, focusing on a portfolio of programs or large projects as well as the line-of-business (LOB) or business unit (BU) applications. The solution architect consultant will focus on emerging and current data technology and will be accountable for proactively and holistically leading or supporting architecture activities that create deliverables that guide business models, people, process, organizational change, and technology investments in response to disruptive forces and toward achieving targeted business outcomes. This individual is responsible for leveraging technology to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities, which can enable or alter business processes or practices that, in turn, drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. 

Solution architect consultants must be capable of practically applying existing, new, and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models. Conversely, they must be able to understand, monetize and operationalize new technologies. The individual in this role develops deliverables that are valuable to the business, including business capabilities, business requirements and workflow. This individual is responsible for facilitating the construction of business models, which may include business capabilities, functions and processes and organization design, as well as working collaboratively with business strategists, process owners and subject matter experts. The role focuses on business technology strategy and targeted business outcomes — clarifying strategic intentions; identifying business outcomes; exploring implications, impacts and risks; and addressing stakeholder questions.  

Principal Responsibilities:

  • This is a highly technical role, providing leadership and technical competence to deliver excellent client solutions that adhere to the client's defined standards.  
  • Exceptional knowledge of software development and system engineering practices will be required in order to insure the optimal solution is designed and that the engineers work to the highest quality.   
  • While this role does not typically configure or operate the platforms directly – the candidate should have performed these roles in prior experience.  They should be capable of engaging in hands on development or configuration if required. The ideal candidate thrives on problem solving and has a passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy. The Solution Architect Consultant represents a capability area that maintains and leverages knowledge of a specific, strategically significant technology platform so that the client can support implementation of change that leverages that platform in the context of meeting a business need.
  • Architect Data Integration solutions to process source systems data into multiple databases using SyncSort, Informatica and StreamSets
  • Hands on Lead Data Integration Consultant responsible for architect, design and development of  Data Integration components and provide support for maintenance and Enhancements.
  • Create and Convert  Design into specific development activities and communicate progress to management and project leads
  • Prepare Technical and Functional Design document to translate Business requirements.
  • Ability to lead Large initiatives
  • Conduct code review meetings with the team.
  • Performance tuning, Implement Performance optimizations through Transformations, Partition and other techniques.
  • Lead a team of onsite/offshore vendor partners
  • Excellent Presentation and influential skills.
  • Support QA team’s test cases and test data preparation. Carries out unit and Integration test support.
  • Good Communicator and proactive approach to daily activities.

  • Seek ways to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes. Research and provide information on technical trends and competitor’s practices relevant to assigned line-of-business (LOB) or business unit (BU) partners.
  • Assess near-term needs, using structured interview processes, to establish business priorities. Consult with technical subject matter experts, and develop alternative technical solutions. Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
  • Work with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of program and large project status, and inform line-of-business (LOB) or business unit (BU partner management of progress. Conversely, keep IT's technology and service managers aware of key line-of-business (LOB) or business unit (BU) partner issues, identifying and resolving potential problems and conflicts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent and extensive related project experience.
    • 10+ years progressive experience in system/design analysis related to Data Integration, Data normalization, Data Transform, data management, and data delivery work.
    • 8+ Data Integration experience using Informatica Power Center version 9.6 or higher, SynsSort DMX-H
    • 2+ Data Integration experience using newer tools like StreamSets and others
  •      Strong skills in Data Integration/ETL/ELT design and development - understanding the tradeoffs of various design  options on multiple platforms using multiple protocols
  •         Experience in SDLC practice
  •         Expertise in different  shell scripting
  •         Must have experience in two or more of the databases like Oracle-Exadata, UDB, DB2, Sybase, Sqlserver
  •         Functional work in and familiarity with enterprise architecture, Data warehouse, data modeling concepts
  •         Solution design experience for large scale initiatives        
    • A good knowledge of the way Oracle enforces data integrity.
    • A sound knowledge of both database and program code performance tuning sound understanding of the business.
    • Sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, systems administrators and other related service providers
    • Practical ability to communicate, influence and persuade – business and IT leaders as well as peers.
