Robot Scheduler. A contract-to-hire Robot Scheduler opportunity is available in Columbus, Ohio. Responsibilities include Robot job scheduling for creating new and updated jobs as requested.


  • Create and maintain Calendars as needed. 
  • Troubleshoot resolve scheduling issues by working closely with applications teams on new and updated tasks and/or processes
  • Will work within the client change process
  • Provide support for iSeries monitoring (Halcyon, Robot Alert, Console). 
  • Supports BRMS, and IBM Protectier Virtual tape environments. 
  • Works with monitoring team, vendors and tier 2 teams for (Tivoli, Windows, Linux/UNIX, Halcyon, Alert, Console and Automic) as needed
  • Works with applications and systems analysts in problem determination for processing errors and the resolution for test and production systems
  • Builds and maintains a variety of documentation: including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), run sheets, project plans, etc. 
  • Keeps technology skills up-to-date. 
  • Position in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above as well as other related duties as assigned. 

Position Requirements:

  • In-depth working knowledge/analysis of enterprise batch scheduling systems, used in a large Data Center environment
  • Advanced knowledge of iSeries systems and Robot (scheduling, network and Enterprise) scheduling packages and monitoring systems
  • Supporting projects involving multiple teams and technologies. 
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Center Operations as an Enterprise/Production Control Scheduler in a large-scale data center 
  • Experience with Web Services, File Events and Cloud environments a plus 
  • IBMi
  • HelpSystems Products (Robot Scheduler, Network, Alert, Console, Halcyon).
  • This job will require working a specific shift schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.


  • Basic programming or scripting would be helpful. 
  • Knowledge of Opal is a plus.
