Senior Data Analyst. We have a contract-to-hire (or direct hire) opportunity available in Columbus, Ohio for a Senior Data Analyst whose responsibilities will be to interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports. He or she will be held accountable for developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Mine and analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool
  • Apply fixes and rectify data structure issue or data processing flows.

Position Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in analysis, mappings, modeling, designing and implementing quality data management solutions working closely with key business stakeholders
  • Well versed in data governance, information management frameworks; Understanding of Master Data management, relational databases and reference data management would be essential
  • Experience with SQL development, SSIS, SSRS and similar related technologies
  • Experienced in working on data management across transactional and analytical processes preferably in a global company with users across multiple business units
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and ability to efficiently manipulate/query data
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or equivalent experience; Generally a minimum of 3 years related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Must be proactive, and have the ability to work independently/efficiently and to thrive in a fast paced environment, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Preferred experience in banking and payment industry.
