Job Description, Required Skills, Education, Experience:

Reporting to the Manager of Online Content Strategy, the Senior Specialist, Online Content Strategy is responsible for creating content strategy deliverables (content audits, gap analyses, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, content plans, search visibility, etc.) across the project life cycle from concept through implementation.
The Senior Specialist will also follow and, where appropriate, contribute to the content guidelines and pattern rules set by the Manager of Online Content Strategy, ensuring that all content proposals and solutions adhere to established standards.
The Senior Specialist may also be asked to perform copywriting duties and produce copy decks in addition to content strategy deliverables depending on project and resource needs.
Main Accountability 1: Produce content strategy deliverables and apply established content strategy principles to retail web projects and projects across other platforms 
Examples:
• Create and maintain all project-related content documentation (content inventories/audits, content maps, content plans, content matrices) for business and technology teams
• Represent content strategy requirements on cross-functional project teams supporting current initiatives; collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, copywriters, UX, visual designers and developers to ensure content can be developed to meet the companys business needs in a timely and consistent way
• Ensure that all project content requirements adhere to previously defined rules, frameworks, and standards for the creation, curation, publication and governance of original, licensed, and user-generated content
• Take initiative in facilitating problem-solving conversations regarding content issues with diverse stakeholders
• Ensure content can be built within CMS and to CMS specifications
• Work with Specialists, Online Content Management and developers to ensure content is built correctly for individual projects
• Create and maintain search documentation (search process documentation, search feeds) for business and technology teams

Main Accountability 2: Help Manager, Online Content Strategy develop future vision for content and search strategy by participating in roadmap creation

Examples:
• Bring any suggested additions or revisions to existing content strategy principles that surface during project work to Manager, Online Content Strategy for discussion and potential inclusion in documentation/guideline updates
• Support the Manager, Online Content Strategy and the Sr. Manager, Online Content in the creation of content and search roadmaps
Main Accountability 3: Perform copywriting responsibilities and create project copy decks as needed

Examples:
• Create copy decks according to established guidelines and standards
Manage copy through business, compliance and legal review through to final approval 

Preferred Skills, Education, Experience:

Min Bachelor's degree required
Min 5 years of exp
• Knowledge of Web and Web user experience principles
• Editing and copywriting skills, including the ability to adopt different writing styles and voices
• Ability to interface/communicate with all levels of the companys organization as well as outside vendors; excellent team work and people skills
• Understanding of the financial services industry and financial products preferred
• Experience with mobile content and mobile user experience principles
• Thorough understanding of SEO and accessibility issues and concerns 
• Close familiarity with the technologies and techniques used in interactive environments 
• Creative ability to enhance static copy with visual and interactive content
• Expert level attention to detail and deadline-oriented
• Experience and comfort with content management systems 
• Experience working on agile development teams
• Energy and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment
Soft skills needed
Confident, able to speak up when needed, assertive, a team player and flexible
